It was a day that began with threatening weather. When I first looked out my window at 6:00 AM, I had a grim feeling that Windy City Fight Night 21 at the UIC Pavilion may be in trouble. After all, my tree was doubled over with the weight of the ice, and I could barely tell the difference between the snow drifts and my SUV. I wondered if other Chicago boxing fans felt the same way, and so I decided to update our Facebook page with a status urging people to forget about the weather and to make their way down to the fights anyway. In retrospect, that status may have been meant for me.
